The Jerry Brown Arts Festival (JBAF) is an indoor, juried arts festival headlined and named in honor of Hamilton resident and Smithsonian potter, Jerry Brown, who as a ninth-generation potter was awarded in 1992 the National Heritage Fellowship and in 2003 received the Alabama Heritage Award from the Alabama State Council on the Arts. Artists from throughout the Southeastern United States participate in this two-day festival celebrating the festival’s theme, "Reflections of the South."

Host of the JBAF is the Northwest Alabama Arts Council, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization supporting the arts and art education.

20TH ANNUAL JERRY BROWN ARTS FESTIVAL CANCELLED
Difficult Decision Made Five Weeks Before Event

Hamilton, Ala. – In a special-called meeting of the Northwest Alabama Arts Council on Monday night, January 31, council members met to discuss strategies on how to overcome issues which had developed in the previous week with the upcoming event. Council members spent 90 minutes considering potential alternatives and solutions, but in the end, the council voted unanimously to cancel the 2022 Jerry Brown Arts Festival (JBAF).

Named as a Top Twenty Event in 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Top 10 event in March 2012 in Sweet Home Alabama
